Ashes To A Junkie

I've been painting for 10 years and for the past 6 years I've dealt with mixed mediums using photography, different textures, plex-glass, sandblasting and body casting.

I use my work as a cathartic release. The issues that surround my work for this moment are death, relationships and my sexuality as a whole. My work deals with process, change, and growth.

I do not label myself as a lesbian artist, because I feel that that limits my creativity to my own sexuality. There is a whole mosaic that I have to deal with upon which I leave the door open.

I am an artist that deals with being a woman, a lesbian, overcoming abuse, overcoming death, and reclaiming her sexuality.
