DAVID BOWIE left Southampton, England aboard the Queen Elizabeth (QE2) on Saturday 20th July bound for America, to start the Area 2: Festival concerts.

DAVID BOWIE appeared on the 'Die Harald Schmidt Show' in Germany today with a studio audience of around 150.
DAVID BOWIE said he would never live in Britain again because the news media are so obsessed with celebrities. The 55-year-old singer, who has lived in the United States for a decade, said he and his family would have no private life if he came back to his native country.

Tonight saw the BBC broadcast of the JONATHAN ROSS BBC TV 45-minute special with DAVID BOWIE. Filmed on Thursday 27th June at the BBC Television Centre at Wood Lane, White City. The 45 minute 'Friday Night with Ross and Bowie' featured David performing Fashion, Slip Away, Everyone Says Hi and Ziggy Stardust, as well as an edited lengthy interview.
