Scheduled for publication early next year in February 2008 is another DAVID BOWIE biography entitled 'BOWIE IN BERLIN: A NEW CAREER IN A NEW TOWN' by author Thomas Jerome Seabrook.
WISHING EVERYONE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
This Decca Group advance test 7" recording is the 1st version on a two-sided mono acetate. The handwritten titles are 'Laughing Gnome' (1st version) and the flip side states 'Gospel', though obviously the titles that came to be release were 'The Laughing Gnome' and 'The Gospel According To Tony Day'.
Over on eBay currently up for auction are three DAVID BOWIE and Marc Bolan/Tyrannosaurus Rex vinyl BBC Transcription Service discs from 1988.
Few musicians possess such a formidable catalog of work as DAVID BOWIE, that exists independently of genres and trends, and travels freely across all dimensions of time, inhabiting present, past, and future with equal regard. Four decades after he made his debut recordings of 1967, he remains one of the most valued barometers of cultural change that popular music has produced. At every stage of his career he has defined and refined the state of the art, in the process becoming the art itself, an impossibly influential singer, songwriter, story-teller, producer, arranger, conductor, multi-instrumentalist, charismatic video, film and stage presence, and much more.
Another DAVID BOWIE 'Peace Thru' Art' item is now available for purchase in the WHATEVER IT TAKES charity to go alongside the side plate, mug and the two different coloured wristbands already produced.
